Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the optimal experimental protocols for inducing vascular calcification in smooth muscle cells under hyperglycemic conditions and identifies critical gaps in current understanding of inflammatory signaling pathways, particularly the IL-6/JAK2/STAT3 cascade. By synthesizing evidence from in vitro studies published between 2005-2025, this research aims to establish standardized methodological guidelines and reveal unexplored therapeutic targets for diabetic vascular complications.
