Abstract

This scoping review aims to map health interventions implemented in LICs since 2015 that address the major causes of neonatal mortality: prematurity, birth asphyxia and infections. In addition, the associated multi-stakeholder partnerships, which enabled the implementation and financing of these interventions will be examined. Synthesizing this evidence will provide a comprehensive overview of implementation patterns, collaborative models, and resource mobilization strategies in LICs which are useful for the global health community, as well as national and regional governments and policymakers. This may contribute to strengthening evidence-based decision-making aimed at reducing neonatal mortality, particularly in low-resource settings where strategic allocation of interventions is critical. Ultimately, this work will support global efforts to achieve SDG 3.2 by 2030.
