Abstract Remains of the rodents of the genus Typhlomys (Platacanthomyidae) are described from the Pleistocene localities in Lang Son Province of northern Vietnam, including T. stegodontis Lopatin, 2021 from the Tham Hai cave (Middle Pleistocene), and T. taxuansis Balakirev, Bui et Rozhnov, 2024 and T. chapensis Osgood, 1932 from the Coc Muoi cave (upper Middle to lower Upper Pleistocene, MIS 6–5, 148–117 ka). T. chapensis and T. taxuansis are discovered in the fossil record for the first time. Thus, these species inhabited northern Vietnam at least since the Middle to Late Pleistocene transition.
