New Findings of Early Triassic Representatives of the Suborders Ussuritina and Paraceltitina (Ammonoidea) from South Primorye

Abstract

Abstract New taxa of the families Galfettitidae (Pseudogalfettites sakhnoi gen. et sp. nov, Galfettites. orientalis sp. nov.), Palaeophyllitidae (Palaeophyllites mishkini sp. nov., Artyomites antiquus gen. et sp. nov.), and Xenoceltitidae (Glyptophiceras mirum sp. nov.) from the Lower Triassic (Olenekian) of South Primorye are described. It is proposed that the superfamily Ussuritoidea Hyatt (suborder Ussuritina Zakharov, order Phylloceratida Arkell) should include the families Galfettitidae Brühwiler et Bucher, Flemingitidae Hyatt, Palaeophyllitidae Popow, and Ussuritidae Hyatt.
