We consider the effects of the Galactic magnetic field on the propagation of\nultra high energy cosmic rays (UHECRs). By employing two methods of trajectory\nsimulation, we investigate the possibility that UHECRs are produced within the\nGalaxy with paths strongly influenced by the Galactic magnetic field. Such\ntrajectories have the potential to reconcile the existing conflict between\nproposed local sources and isotropic UHECR arrival directions.\n
