Abstract

Abstract This note publishes a 1650 book order written by Alice Curteyne—wife of the Oxford bookseller Henry Curteyne—and sent to Richard Royston in London. The order survived as binding waste and provides further evidence of the role of women in the seventeenth-century English book trade.
