Abstract

Let p(n) denote the overpartition funtion. This paper presents the 2-log-concavity property of p(n) by considering a more general inequality of the following form \beginvmatrix p(n) amp; p(n+1) amp; p(n+2)
p(n-1) amp; p(n) amp; p(n+1)
p(n-2) amp; p(n-1) amp; p(n) \endvmatrix gt; 0, which holds for all n ≥ 42.
