Abstract

This study aims to conduct a quanti-qualitative systematic review of the use of cannabinoid (CBD) derivatives for the treatment of insomnia in older people. Research question(s): - What is the evidence regarding the use of cannabinoids derivatives in treatment of insomnia in older people ?; Expectations / hypotheses - There is approved treatment for insomnia with cannabinoids derivatives for older people. Dependent variable(s) / outcome(s) / main variables: Any objective or subjective measure of insomnia. Diagnosis of insomnia disorder. Laboratorial exams for assessment of the level of CBD derivatives. Independent variable(s) / intervention(s) / treatment(s): CBD derivatives dosages. Duration of treatment. Combination with other interventions / treatments. For this search, the primary search strategy will be adopted: ("older people" OR “older population” OR "older adult*" OR ancient OR ageing OR aging OR aged OR elder*) AND (cannab* OR tetrahydrocannab* OR dronabinol) AND Insomnia* The variations can be adopted to find more researchs.
