A CS set is a certain type of stratified metric space. The structure of a CS set which is a generalized <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n n </inline-formula>-manifold is determined. A class of cell-like mappings between CS sets is defined, and it is shown that such a cell-like mapping with manifold image <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> M n Mn </inline-formula>, <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n ≠ 4 n ≠ 4 </inline-formula>, is approximable by homeomorphisms.
