Abstract

Ranges of the real-valued parameters α, a, b, and m are identified for which the operator A_α(a,b)f(x):=x^α(f''(x)+(a)/(x)f'(x)+(b)/(x²)f(x)), xgt;0, generates an analytic semigroup in L₁((0,∞),x^mdx).
