Intrinsic religious orientation was related to six factor scales from the California F scale items for denominational college students. The results cross validated a prioritem analysis of the entire F scale. Only two factors (conventionalism and superstition and stereotypy) accounted for the previously-reported relationship between authoritarianism and intrinsic religion, and these factors were independently judged to be highly salient for sincerely but traditionally religious Baptists.
