In article number 2002397, Matheus A. Tunes, Lukas Stemper, and co-authors demonstrate that the novel T-phase based hardening in new aluminium crossover alloy can withstand the harsh radiationenvironment of the solar system. In contrast, typically hardening phases in conventional aluminium alloys are not tolerant to irradiation and their dissolution can soften the material.
