Recent popularity of neo-paganism in the modern Russian society is obvious. Such relevance is conditioned by inherent for neo-paganism doctrines of love for the native land, desire to revive the forgotten traditions of the Russian culture, etc. However, some neo-pagan trends manifest radicalism based on related beliefs. Considering the above mentioned, the authors argue for the necessity to undertake a comprehensive study of doctrinal peculiarities, ideological basis and causes for recent popularity of neo-paganism.
