ABSTRACT A critical look at the good and bad characteristics of window glass indicated that thermal conductivity and solar radiation pose serious problems in building design, but when properly used and located, glass areas may provide desirable comfort and economy. Actual power cost savings will often be over 77 percent, as com-pared to ordinary construction.
