Abstract

Abstract Four chemicals registered for ant control in Tasmania and available in household packs (bendiocarb, chlorpyrifos, diazinon and permethrin) are effective in the control of jackjumper ant, Myrmecia pilosula . Chlordane also gave control but was slow to act. Propoxur was ineffective.
