Abstract Samples of moss and freshwater algae collected from the Bunger Hills contained Plectus antarcticus, P. frigophilus , and Helicotylenchus sp.; P. globilabiatus Kirjanova, 1958 was not found. P. antarcticus was identified from moss collected at Gaussberg. Plant‐feeding nematodes such as Helicotylenchus have not previously been recorded from continental Antarctica.
