Abstract

The spectra of two-electron configurations in (jj) and (jl) coupling and of the configurations dⁿ, f³, d²p, and d⁸p in (LS) coupling are calculated with tensor operators. The agreement with the odd terms of Ti II and Ni II is satisfactory. It is also proved that \fracG^k(2k+1) is a positive decreasing function of k.
