We study the singly Cabibbo suppressed decays \mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathη and \mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathπ0 using \mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\mathrm\ensuremathΛc^\ensuremath- pairs produced by e+e^\ensuremath- collisions at a center-of-mass energy of √(s)=4.6 GeV. The data sample was collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb^\ensuremath-1. We find the first evidence for the decay \mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathη with a statistical significance of 4.2\ensuremathσ and measure its branching fraction to be B(\mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathη)=(1.24\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.28(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.10(syst))\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-3. No significant \mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathπ0 signal is observed. We set an upper limit on its branching fraction B(\mathrm\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→p\ensuremathπ0)<2.7\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-4 at the 90% confidence level.
