In the preceding paper Einstein, Infeld and Hoffmann' have developed a most ingenious and useful method for obtaining, by successive approximations, the gravitational field and equations of motion of n bodies in the general theory of relativity. They have carried out the derivation to that order which leads. in the well known solution of the one body problem, to the perihelion advance of an infinitesimal planet, and have given explicitly the equations of motion for the case of two bodies of comparable masses.2 It is the purpose of this note to integrate these latter equations, to the same approximation, emphasizing the effects on the orbit of a double star of possible astronomical interest.
