We search for the process B0\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathτ+\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ using the full Belle data set of 711 fb^\ensuremath-1, corresponding to 772\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106BB pairs, collected at the \mathrm\ensuremathΥ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e^\ensuremath- collider. We reconstruct one B meson in a hadronic decay and search for the B0\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathτ+\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ process in the remainder of the event. No significant signal is observed and an upper limit of B(B0\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathτ+\ensuremathν_\ensuremathτ)<2.5\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-4 is obtained at the 90% confidence level.
