Exposure rates per unit 40K, 226Ra and 228Th specific activities are given for dwelling rooms. Results calculated by the REBEL-2 adjoint Monte Carlo code are given for rooms with different dimensions and wall thicknesses. The composition and density of the wall material also vary. The calculated result for a typical structure was checked with measurements. The agreement between the calculated and measured values is quite good, with the calculated value lying within the range of the measured values.
