Preliminary BABAR results on B0 mixing with dileptons and on lifetime with partially reconstructed B0 decays

Abstract

With an integrated luminosity of 7.7 fb-1 collected on resonance by BABAR at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory, we measure the difference in mass between the neutral B eigenstates, Delta(m_d), to be (0.507+/-0.015+/-0.022)x 10¹² hbar s^-1 with dileptons events and present preliminary results for the B⁰ lifetime, tau(B⁰) = 1.55+/-0.05+/-0.07 ps and tau(B⁰) = 1.62+/-0.02+/-0.09 ps obtained from partial reconstruction of the two B⁰ decay processes respectively B⁰-->D^*-pi⁺ and B⁰-->D^*- l⁺ nu_l.
