Abstract

Using soft and hard x-ray diffraction techniques, this group presents evidence of charge ordering in La1.88Sr0.12CuO4 that is rotated with respect to the Cu-O bond direction. In addition, and importantly, the authors show that the charge order is suppressed below Tc.
