The present contribution outlines a first record of two allochthonous land snails Monacha obstructa (L.Pfeiffer, 1842) and Polygyra cereolus (Megerle von Mhlgeldt, 1818) in Cyrenaica (Northeast Libya) (Stylommatophora Hygromiidae and Polygyridae). The two species have been identified through the study of the shell and the genitalia.Their zoogeographical origins, the possible way of introduction and distribution in Libya are discussed.
