Abstract

A combined mass and particle identification fit is used to make the first observation of the decay Bs0\ensuremath→Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fiK^\ensuremath∓ and measure the branching fraction of Bs0\ensuremath→Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fiK^\ensuremath∓ relative to Bs0\ensuremath→Ds+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-. This analysis uses 1.2 fb^\ensuremath-1 integrated luminosity of pp collisions at √(s)=1.96 TeV collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We observe a Bs0\ensuremath→Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fiK^\ensuremath∓ signal with a statistical significance of 8.1\ensuremathσ and measure B(Bs0\ensuremath→Ds^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fiK^\ensuremath∓)/B(Bs0\ensuremath→Ds+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-)=0.097\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.018(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.009(syst).
