Abstract

We present a measurement of the absolute branching fraction for D⁰\ensuremath→K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ⁺ using the reconstruction of the decay chain B\ensuremath→D^*+X\ensuremathℓ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathν, D^*+\ensuremath→D⁰\ensuremathπ⁺ where only the lepton and the low-momentum pion from the D^*+ are detected. With data collected by the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have determined B(D⁰\ensuremath→K^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ⁺)\phantom\rule0ex0ex=\phantom\rule0ex0ex[3.81\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.15(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.16(syst)]%.
