Abstract

The \ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→pK^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+ yield has been measured in a sample of two-jet continuum events containing both a charm tag (``D'') as well as an antiproton (e+e^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→DpX), with the antiproton in the hemisphere opposite the D (measurement of charge conjugate modes is implicit throughout). Under the hypothesis that such selection criteria tag e+e^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→Dp\ensuremathΛc+X events, the \ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→pK^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+ branching fraction can be determined by measuring the pK^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+ yield in the same hemisphere as the antiprotons in our DpX sample. Three types of D charm tags are used, \ensuremathπsoft^\ensuremath- (from D^*\ensuremath-\ensuremath→D0\ensuremathπsoft^\ensuremath-), electrons (from D\ensuremath→Xe^\ensuremath-\ensuremathν), and fully reconstructed D0\ensuremath→K+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath- or D^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→K+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath- or Ds^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→\ensuremathφ\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-. Combining our results obtained from the three independent charm tags, we obtain B(\ensuremathΛc+\ensuremath→pK^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ+)=(5.0\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.5\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi1.2)%.
