Additionally, the pegmatites are well known for an abundance of other rare and exotic minerals. The CMB is a tectonostratigraphic unit comprised of lower Paleozoic sediments that were deformed and metamorphosed at greenschist to upper amphibolite facies forming metasediments (metapelites and metapsammites) and an expansive area of migmatites. Several large granitic bodies (e.g., Sebago and Songo plutons) and a number of smaller ones intruded the lower Paleozoic section...
