Abstract

(1+1)-dimensional QCD (QCD1+1) in the limit of a large number of flavors NF and a large number of colors NC is examined in the small NF/NC regime. Using perturbation theory in NF/NC, stringent results for the leading behavior of the spectrum departing from NF/NC=0 are obtained. These results provide benchmarks in the light of which previous truncated treatments of QCD1+1 at large NF and NC are critically reconsidered.
