Abstract

We investigate the transition form factors for the B\ensuremath→K*l+l^\ensuremath- (l=\ensuremathμ,\ensuremathτ) decay in light cone QCD. It is found that the light cone and three-point QCD sum rule analyses for some of the form factors for the decay B\ensuremath→K*l+l^\ensuremath- lead to absolutely different q2 dependence. The invariant dilepton mass distributions for the B\ensuremath→K*\ensuremathμ+\ensuremathμ^\ensuremath- and B\ensuremath→K*\ensuremathτ+\ensuremathτ^\ensuremath- decays and final lepton longitudinal polarization asymmetry, which includes both short- and long-distance contributions, are also calculated.
