The effects of effective interactions containing the factors \ensuremath∂\ensuremath⋅W^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi and \ensuremath∂\ensuremath⋅Z is studied within a consistent effective Lagrangian formalism. It is shown that such terms are redundant.
