Abstract

Using chiral perturbation theory we calculate the imaginary parts of the KL\ensuremath→\mathrm\ensuremathπ+\mathrm\ensuremathπ^\mathrm\ensuremath-e+e^\mathrm\ensuremath- form factors that arise from \ensuremathπ\ensuremathπ\ensuremath→\mathrm\ensuremathπ+\mathrm\ensuremathπ^\mathrm\ensuremath- and \ensuremathπ\ensuremathπ\ensuremath→\mathrm\ensuremathπ+\mathrm\ensuremathπ^\mathrm\ensuremath-\ensuremathγ* rescattering. We discuss their influence on CP-violating variables in KL\ensuremath→\mathrm\ensuremathπ+\mathrm\ensuremathπ^\mathrm\ensuremath-e+e^\mathrm\ensuremath-. \textcopyright 1996 The American Physical Society.
