We report on a study of the relative rates of B meson decays into \ensuremathψ(2S) and J/\ensuremathψ mesons using 1.3 fb^\ensuremath-1 of pp collisions at √(s)=1.96 TeV recorded by the D0 detector operating at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. We observe the channels Bs0\ensuremath→\ensuremathψ(2S)\ensuremathφ, Bs0\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψ\ensuremathφ, B^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathψ(2S)K^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi, and B^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψK^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi and we measure the relative branching fractions for these channels to be \fracB(Bs0\ensuremath→\ensuremathψ(2S)\ensuremathφ)B(Bs0\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψ\ensuremathφ)=0.53\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.10(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.07(syst)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.06(B),\phantom\rule2em0ex\fracB(B^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→\ensuremathψ(2S)K^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi)B(B^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψK^\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi)=0.63\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.05(stat)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.03(syst)\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.07(B),where the final error corresponds to the uncertainty in the J/\ensuremathψ and \ensuremathψ(2S) branching ratio into two muons.
