Abstract

During the last decades Phytophthora genus has become increasingly important in plant pathology and environmental sciences. Development of molecular techniques and the availability of the DNA sequences enabling markers designing [1, 2] caused a rapid increase in the detection and identification of Phytophthora species in plants, water, and soil. Each year, a growing number of newly described species, also from those deposited for years in collections, which currently increased to 124, has been noticed
