Abstract

We have searched for a neutral H dibaryon decaying via H\ensuremath→\ensuremathΛn and H\ensuremath→\ensuremathΣ⁰n. Our search has yielded two candidate events from which we set an upper limit on the H production cross section. Normalizing to the inclusive \ensuremathΛ production cross section, we find \frac(\fracd\ensuremathσ_Hd\ensuremathΩ)(\fracd\ensuremathσ_\ensuremathΛd\ensuremathΩ)<6.3\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-6 at 90% C.L., for an H of mass \ensuremath≈2.15 GeV/c².
