Abstract

A partial-wave analysis of the mesons from the reaction \ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-p\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ⁺\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ⁰\ensuremathπ⁰p has been performed. The data show b₁\ensuremathπ decay of the spin-exotic states \ensuremathπ₁(1600) and \ensuremathπ₁(2000). Three isovector 2^\ensuremath-+ states were seen in the \ensuremathω\ensuremathρ^\ensuremath- decay channel. In addition to the well known \ensuremathπ₂(1670), signals were also observed for \ensuremathπ₂(1880) and \ensuremathπ₂(1970).
