The production of prompt J/\ensuremathψ, \ensuremathψ(2S), \ensuremathχc1, and \ensuremathχc2 is studied using a 32.4fb^\ensuremath-1 data sample collected with the Belle detector at \ensuremathΥ(4S) and at 60MeV below the resonance. The yield of prompt J/\ensuremathψ mesons in the \ensuremathΥ(4S) sample is compatible with that of continuum production; we set an upper limit B(\ensuremathΥ(4S)\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψX)<1.9\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-4 at the 95% confidence level, and find \ensuremathσ(e+e^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→J/\ensuremathψX)\phantom\rule0ex0ex=\phantom\rule0ex0ex1.47\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.10\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.13pb. The cross sections for prompt \ensuremathψ(2S) and direct J/\ensuremathψ are measured. The J/\ensuremathψ momentum spectrum, production angle distribution, and polarization are studied.
