Various processes have been proposed previously to study a00(980)\mathrm\text\ensuremath-f0(980) mixing through the f0(980)\ensuremath→a00(980) transition. Here we investigate in detail the difference between a00(980)\ensuremath→f0(980) and f0(980)\ensuremath→a00(980) transitions. It is found that the a00(980)\ensuremath→f0(980) transition can provide additional constraints to the parameters of a00(980) and f0(980) mesons. A proposal is made to study a00(980)\mathrm\text\ensuremath-f0(980) mixing from the \ensuremathχc1\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ0a00(980)\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ0f0(980) reaction at the upgraded Beijing electron positron collider with the BESIII detector.
