We study the diffractive production of photons in \ensuremathγp and \ensuremathγ\ensuremathγ collisions. We specifically compute the rates for \ensuremathγ*\stackrel\ensuremath→p\ensuremathγX and for \ensuremathγ*\ensuremathγ*\ensuremath→\ensuremathγ\ensuremathγ, where X denotes the proton dissociation. We focus on the rates at large momentum transfers, \ensuremath-t\ensuremath≫\ensuremathΛ2, where we are most confident in the use of QCD perturbation theory. However, our calculations do allow us to study the \ensuremath-\stackrel\ensuremath→t0 behavior of the \ensuremathγ*\ensuremathγ*\ensuremath→\ensuremathγ\ensuremathγ process in the region where the incoming photons are sufficiently virtual.
