The timelike form factor of the charged kaon is evaluated at |Q2|=M2(J/\ensuremathψ)=9.59 GeV2 by relating it to B(J/\ensuremathψ\ensuremath→K+K^\ensuremath-), B(J/\ensuremathψ\ensuremath→KSKL) and B(J/\ensuremathψ\ensuremath→e+e^\ensuremath-). The resulting value, |Q2|FK(9.59 GeV2)=0.81\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.18 GeV2 is found to be in good agreement with |Q2|FK(13.5 GeV2)=0.85\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi0.05 GeV2 obtained recently by the direct measurement of the reaction e+e^\ensuremath-\ensuremath→K+K^\ensuremath-.
