The newly observed resonances D_s1* and D_s0 are discussed in a potential model. The relationship between the mass difference between the p states D_s1*(1+),D_s0(0+) and the s states Ds*(1^\ensuremath-),Ds(0^\ensuremath-) is also examined. Some remarks about the states D_1*(1+) and D_0(0+) in the nonstrange sectors are also made.
