Abstract

The processes \ensuremathψ(2S)\ensuremath→\ensuremathγ\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath-, \ensuremathγK+K^\ensuremath-, and \ensuremathγpp have been studied using a sample of 3.79\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi106\ensuremathψ(2S) decays. We determine the total width of the \ensuremathχc0 to be \ensuremathΓ_\ensuremathχc0tot\phantom\rule0ex0ex=\phantom\rule0ex0ex14.3\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi2.0\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi3.0MeV. We present the first measurement of the branching fraction B(\ensuremathχc0\ensuremath→pp)\phantom\rule0ex0ex=\phantom\rule0ex0ex(15.9\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi4.3\ifmmode±\else\textpm\fi5.3)\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi10^\ensuremath-5, where the first error is statistical and the second one is systematic. Branching fractions of \ensuremathχc0,2\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ+\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath- and K+K^\ensuremath- are also reported.
