Abstract

We present a new method for the determination of the \ensuremathπ\mathrm\text\ensuremath-\ensuremathπ scattering length combination a₀\ensuremath-a₂, based on the study of the \ensuremathπ⁰\ensuremathπ⁰ spectrum in K⁺\ensuremath→\ensuremathπ⁰\ensuremathπ⁰\ensuremathπ⁺ in the vicinity of the \ensuremathπ⁺\ensuremathπ^\ensuremath- threshold. The method requires a minimum of theoretical input, and is potentially very accurate.
