We perform a statistical analysis of models with SU(5) and flipped SU(5) gauge group in a type II orientifold setup. We investigate the distribution and correlation of properties of these models, including the number of generations and the hidden sector gauge group. Compared to the recent analysis [F. Gmeiner, R. Blumenhagen, G. Honecker, D. L"ust, and T. Weigand, F. GmeinerJ. High Energy Phys. 01 (2006) 004; , Fortschr. Phys. 54, 391 (2006).] of models with a standard model-like gauge group, we find very similar results.
