Computersoftware can be very helpful in assessing and rehabilitating brain-damaged patients. Our claim is that in order to be really useful, such software must have a substantial background knowledge about the domain related to the observed impairments. In this paper, we present SARAH, a program aimed at acalculia assessment and training. We focus particularly on the different sources of knowledge we have used in implementing this expert system.
