The \ensuremathβ function of the vacuum energy density is computed at the four-loop level in massive O(N) symmetric \ensuremathφ4 theory. Dimensional regularization is used in conjunction with the \stackrel-MS scheme and all calculations are in momentum space in the massive theory. The result is \ensuremathβv=((N)/(4))g+[(N(N+2))/(96)]g3+N(N+2)(N+8)\ifmmode×\else\texttimes\fi\frac[12\ensuremathζ(3)\ensuremath-25]1296g4+O(g5).
