Abstract

Pseudohemiculter dispar (Peters, 1881) is an East Asian freshwater fish distributed from Central China to Laos and Central Vietnam. Here we present the southernmost record of this species from Phu Yen Province, Vietnam. This is a range extension of about over 750 km to the south from the closest previously known locality in Central Vietnam. We also provide an updated map showing the distribution of species.
