This paper provides an abstract framework for studying inertial manifolds associated with a class of nonlocal parabolic problems. In particular, we derive a corresponding spectral gap condition by suitably modifying the nonlocal term outside of the absorbing ball. As an application, we establish the existence of an inertial manifolds for the two-dimensional nonlocal reaction-diffusion equation on a square domain.
