Abstract

A series of triphenylene discotic liquid crystals self-assemble into helical hexagonal columnar superlattices, achieving a charge carrier mobility of 10 −2 cm 2 V −1 s −1 , two orders of magnitude higher than normal hexagonal columnar phases.
