Two new species of oribatid mites (Oribatida) of the superfamily Oripodoidea—Zygoribatula birhanensis n. sp. (Oribatulidae) and Scheloribates (Scheloribates) debreensis n. sp. (Scheloribatidae)—are described from moss and litter in forest with Erica arborea in the Amhara region, Central Ethiopia. The species Annobonzetes hamatus is combined in Scheloribates (Scheloribates).
